The church was built in the style of the\u00a0<a class=\" xil3i\" tabindex=\"0\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/explore\/tags\/cathedralani\/\">#CathedralAni<\/a>. However, the Savior is bigger than Cathedral Ani. The architect was Thaddeus Antikyan, a well-known master craftsman. People say that Thaddeus went to Ani every day by a\u00a0<a class=\" xil3i\" tabindex=\"0\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/explore\/tags\/phaeton\/\">#phaeton<\/a>\u00a0to see the local Katoghike Cathedral and returned in the evening trying to build the Church of the Savior in this way.<br \/>\nWitnesses said the day the church was built turned into a folk festival. Women and girls moved the ground with aprons, the construction was carried out with the funds raised by the population of the city.
