Dadi monastery was first mentioned in the 9th century. The first structures of the monastery complex were built between 9th and 13th centuries.<\/p>\n<p>According to the tradition, the church was founded by Dade, who was a follower of Thaddeus &#8211; one of Christ&#8217;s apostles. During the excavations, the relics of the holy apostle Dade were found under the altar of the monastery complex.<\/p>\n<p>The central structure of Dadivank is St. Astvatsatsin, it was built in 1234 by Haterk princess Arzu-Khatun in memory of her husband Vakhtang and theirs two sons.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp; Dadivank, also known as Arakelots, is an Armenian apostolic medieval monastic complex in Dadivank village of Artsakh.
