The #SurbKhach church is located in the city of Aparan, Aragatsotn region of the Republic of Armenia. In historic province <<Nig>>, the rulers of Gntunyats built two monuments of the early Christian era, one of which named is the << Basilica of Kasagh >>. The church is known as the “#BasilicaofKasagh“. It is said, that it is not by chance that it is called the Saint Cross: #Surb Khach. A fragment of the Cross of Christ or a religion of the cross is buried in the basis of the church. Experts said, the date of the construction of the church to the end of the 4th century. Archaeologists studying the church and its territory, come to the conclusion, that the basilica could have been built on the basis of a #pagan temple. Another legend says, that when christianity was announced the official religion in the country, after the #MotherSeeofHolyEtchmiadzin, this church was built, although this fact is not confirmed.
